Electricity is the most important terminal energy for humanity. The reliability and economy of electricity directly affect the competitiveness of every country and enterprise. For nearly a century, the immaturity of traditional power outer insulation technology has caused the most grid accidents and the greatest waste, specifically reflected in:

• Transmission outer insulation has problems such as wind deflection flashover, pollution flashover, rain flashover, ice flashover, bird droppings flashover, etc.
• Substation outer insulation has problems such as explosion, pollution flashover, rain flashover, ice flashover, brittle fracture, etc.
• Distribution outer insulation has problems such as lightning flashover, disconnection, bird droppings flashover, etc.

According to incomplete statistics, traditional outer insulation products account for a small proportion (only 2%~3%) of the one-time construction cost of the power grid, but after completion, 60%-70% of the annual operation and maintenance costs of the power grid are spent on outer insulation. The global power grid loses more than 400 billion yuan every year due to traditional outer insulation, and it is growing at a rate of 20 billion yuan every year.
